To contact the EAO, please call 800-974-9559.<\/p>\n<p>The EAO offers compliance assistance at NO COST, and it is a confidential, voluntary program that\u00a0assists Vermont&#8217;s small businesses and municipalities in achieving compliance with environmental regulations and promotes\u00a0cooperation between the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) and the regulated community.<\/p>\n<div id=\"page\">\n<div id=\"main\">\n<div class=\"main-column main-section\">\n<div id=\"content\" class=\"column\" role=\"main\">\n<div class=\"main-content\">\n<article class=\"node-143 node node-page view-mode-full clearfix\">\n<div class=\"field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden\">\n<div class=\"field-items\">\n<div class=\"field-item even\">\n<p>The Compliance Assistance Program encourages businesses to use pollution prevention (waste reduction) as a means of achieving compliance and reducing their overall regulatory burden whenever possible.
